Privacy policy

Effective 6 October 2026

BetterCalc is built to work without collecting anything about you. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Data we collect

None. BetterCalc does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs, and the app does not connect to the internet.

Data stored on your iPad

The app saves your calculation history (the expressions and results you have calculated) in its private storage on your iPad so it is still there next time you open the app. This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time with Clear in the History screen, or by deleting the app. If you back up your iPad with iCloud or a computer, this data may be included in that backup under your own Apple account; BetterCalc has no access to it.

Clipboard

BetterCalc reads the clipboard only when you choose Paste on the display, and writes to it only when you choose Copy.

Tracking

BetterCalc does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Apple

If you have chosen to share iPad analytics or crash reports with app developers in your iPadOS settings, Apple may provide anonymous crash and usage statistics to me. These are collected and governed by Apple, not by BetterCalc, and contain no personal information about you.

Children

BetterCalc collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
